WHAT IS SEXUAL HARASSMENT?
Sexual harassment is unwanted behaviour of a sexual nature which, whether intended or not.
You don’t have to have said you do not like the behaviour for it to be unwanted.
It’s not your fault and there is always help available.
Sexual harassment includes unwanted:
- Sexual advances and touching
- Sexual comments both in person and online
- Objectification of you by talking about your body
- Asking intimate questions about your body
- Showing or sending you sexually explicit pictures or videos
- Sexual jokes or propositions
- Talking to you about sex and porn
Sexual harassment can be done by anyone including other young people and family members.

Childline
When you call on 0800 1111 you’ll get through to a counsellor, they’re there to listen and support you with anything you’d like to talk about. Or you can have a 1-2-1 counsellor chat online.
Childline is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. So you can talk to us any time. But we might not be able to talk for as long when it’s after midnight.
Childline also has a service for reporting and getting nude image or video taken down.
