Inclusion

Parliament Hill is a high achieving and happy school.

New SEND code of practice: 0 to 25 years

We're meeting the learning needs of girls in our local community and promoting creativity and bringing a sense of belonging to our socially and culturally diverse community.

Parliament Hill School continues to work with 3As Achievement for All showing the school’s commitment to ensure all students feel valued, are happy and staff have high expectations of their achievement.

Educational Inclusion at Parliament Hill School means that all students, regardless of their ability, special educational need or disability, ethnicity or social background are provided for by our outstanding curriculum. We ensure lesson planning enables all students to engage in learning and that no individual or group of learners is left behind.  All students, including our most vulnerable targeted groups, are given the opportunity to develop knowledge, understanding and skills to progress.  All students are expected to make exceptional progress and are provided with effective support and early, personalised learning interventions when needed to ensure they achieve their potential best.

We ensure students feel safe at school and are empowered to make a positive contribution to the school and their wider community.

Social Inclusion at Parliament Hill School means creating a climate where all groups in our diverse school, regardless of ethnicity, social and cultural background, ability and emotional, social and behavioural needs are respected, valued and belong.  Students are able to build successful relationships with other students and staff within school and are provided with opportunities that combat inequalities.

We ensure students feel safe at school and are empowered to make a positive contribution to the school and their wider community. Students with emotional, social and behavioural difficulties are fully supported by a range of individualised and staged interventions.

All parents, including our harder to reach parents, are engaged in working in partnership with school, enhanced through our commitment to the Achievement for All programme, which contributes to our cohesive and harmonious community.
