Parliament Hill School

High achieving and happy

Curriculum KS4

Parliament Hill provides an outstanding learning environment.

Lessons are designed to ensure excellence, progression and creative thinking. We are proud of our teachers’ high expectations and relentless commitment to developing new approaches to engaging and inspiring all our learners.

Our teachers are passionate about seeing our young learners grasp new concepts, learn new skills and excel in demonstrating their knowledge and understanding.

Our students have access to a broad and balanced curriculum which stimulates and engenders a love of learning. It builds on the achievements at Key Stage 2 and prepares our students for post 16 and lifelong education.

By Key Stage 4 students are following their option choice and are expected to be fully motivated and responsible for their learning.

In the classroom, we focus on three main areas of learning and teaching:

  • Encouraging our girls and young women to develop their resilience and independent learning skills;
  • Developing their team work and leadership skills through more opportunities to learn and problem-solve in groups; and
  • Developing their extended writing skills to enable them to express themselves in powerful, critical and creative ways.

Students should be fully-equipped for every lesson. Attendance and punctuality are more important than ever at Key Stage 4.
