The Library

The school library is one of the most popular places in the school, students enjoy the atmosphere and feel comfortable spending their free time here. The library is made up of three inter-connecting rooms:

  1. The Fiction room which contains all the fiction books  – this is where reading lessons take place for Years 7, 8 and 9, as part of their English lessons. There is also a collection of senior fiction for Year 12 and 13 students.
  2. The Information Room – where students can study and revise quietly. This room houses our subject books.
  3. The Computer room – where there are 30 computers which can be booked for lessons. At break and lunch these computers can be used by students to do their homework. There is also a small foyer with 10 computers which can be used by students before or after registration.

As well as housing fiction and non-fiction books, the library is also home to extra-curricular reading groups and film events for a variety of student groups.

Opening Times: The library is open 8.00 am – 4.30 pm, including lunch and break times. Students can come in before school starts or after school ends.
