2026 GCSEs RESULTS

Congratulations to the class of 2026

We are incredibly proud of all our year 11 students who received their GCSE results today. Performance has been extremely impressive with 47% of grades at 9-7.

85% of students achieved a 4+ pass in both English and Maths.

We have celebrated results that are significantly above national performance. In English 92% achieved grade 4 and above and 81% a grade 5 and above. A phenomenal 43% of students achieved top 9-7 in Maths and 72% 5+ and 86% 4+.

We have enjoyed success across all subjects, with excellent high-grade achievement (9-7 grades) in Science: 83% in Chemistry; 78% in Biology and 74% in Physics. We were particularly pleased with stellar results in Humanities and Languages with 57% of students achieving 9-7 grades in History; 65% in Religious Studies and 79% in Spanish.

A huge congratulations to Parliament Hill students who have worked incredibly hard to achieve these brilliant results alongside their committed subject teachers whose tireless support and excellent teaching is reflected in these impressive outcomes.

We would like to thank families for their support and look forward to welcoming students back into the 6^th form in September. These results have opened doors to a wide range of pathways and courses at LaSWAP.

Good news stories Parliament Hill School 2026

This year’s cohort has once again demonstrated the ambition and academic strength characteristic of Parliament Hill School Sixth Form and LaSWAP. As well as one of the very strongest years in terms of results, students have offers from impressive institutions including Cambridge, Imperial and numerous Russell Group universities. They have secured places on courses like Medicine, Dentistry, Veterinary Science, the creative arts, psychology, business, law and many more. As always, we are proud not only of the destinations they have secured, but of the journeys they have taken to reach them.

We are especially thrilled to celebrate an exceptional group of students progressing to Medicine, Dentistry and Veterinary Science — one of the strongest clusters we have ever seen.

Lina N (Biology A, Chemistry A, Psychology B, Arabic A*) will be studying Medicine at King’s College London, reflecting on her journey by saying, “So proud of myself and even prouder of the sixth form I chose. It was a crazy two years! Couldn’t be more grateful for the school support when I didn’t have faith in myself.” She joins Imogen S (Biology A, Chemistry A, History A) and Eva S (Biology B, Chemistry A, Psychology A), who both take up places to study Medicine at Nottingham, sharing that “Support from teachers was wonderful. Support for medical applicants really good. We really enjoyed being at LaSWAP.” Iris C (Biology A*, Chemistry A*, Maths A*) progresses to Liverpool to study Medicine, while Filip M (Biology A*, Chemistry A*, Maths A) will be studying Medicine at the University of Glasgow. We are equally delighted for Esme P (Biology A*, Chemistry A*, Maths A), who will be studying Dentistry at Bristol, and Jessica W (Biology A, Chemistry A, Classics B), who progresses to the Royal Veterinary College to study Bioveterinary Sciences. Their achievements reflect students’ dedication to the sciences, as well as teachers’ expertise, and we are immensely proud to see so many aspiring medics, dentists and veterinarians take their next steps into such demanding and respected fields.

Beyond Medicine, our students have secured a very impressive range of Russell Group and high‑quality destinations in both the sciences and humanities. Maya M (English A, History A, Religious Studies A) has secured a place to read English at Cambridge University. Immy G‑S (Economics A*, Politics A, Psychology A) will be studying Politics at King’s College London, while Sadie C (Classics A, History A, Politics A*) progresses to Glasgow to study Politics. At Bristol, Lenny W (English Literature A, French B, History C) and Lois M (French A, History A, Politics A*) continue our tradition of excellence in Modern Languages. Lois reflected warmly on her time with us: “I met some of my best friends at LaSWAP, so not only is it a sixth form where you can thrive academically, you will flourish socially. The teachers have been so supportive — I definitely could not have done it without them.” We are delighted for Eva R (English Literature A, Geography A*, Politics A*), who will be studying English Literature at Manchester, and Naomi C (Biology A, Chemistry A, History A), who progresses to Newcastle to study Marine Biology. We are also particularly impressed by Molly W (French B, Classics A, History C), who will be studying French and History at the Institute of Paris — an exceptional international opportunity that reflects both her academic strengths and her ambition to immerse herself fully in her subject. We are very proud of Billy H (Physics A*, Maths A*, Further Maths A*), who will be studying Physics at Imperial College London — one of the most competitive STEM destinations in the country. These destinations reflect the breadth of academic achievement within this cohort, with students excelling across STEM, humanities and social sciences.

Our creative students have also achieved outstanding outcomes, securing places at some of the UK’s most respected arts institutions. Letizia A (Business A, Maths A*, Further Maths A, Product Design A) will be studying Fashion Design & Technology at Loughborough, while Yvette B (English Lang & Lit C, Film Studies B, Textiles B) progresses to UAL for Fashion Journalism. Maia G (Business A*, Drama A*, History B, Spanish A) will be studying Theatre & Performance at Leeds, sharing her joy on results day: “These are definitely the tears of joy — I am so happy and relieved.” Beatrice H (Photography C, Textiles B) and Chaya T (Photography B, Textiles B) continue our tradition of creative excellence at Falmouth. Their imagination, originality and commitment have earned them places on courses that will allow their talents to flourish.

Psychology remains one of our most successful and popular subjects, and this year’s cohort has secured an impressive range of destinations. Phoebe W (History B, Psychology A, Politics A) will be studying Psychology at Manchester, while Ruby O (Psychology A, Sociology A, Textiles C) progresses to Nottingham to study Psychology & Cognitive Neuroscience. Alongside them, Ava N‑P (Psychology B, Sociology B, English Literature C) will be studying Psychology at Royal Holloway, and Isabel J (Psychology B, Sociology B, English Language B) progresses to Loughborough to study Psychology. We also celebrate Angell G (BTEC Business Distinction* Distinction, Drama C), who will be studying Psychology in Business at Liverpool Hope. These students demonstrate the depth and versatility of psychology as a discipline, and the strength of our provision in this area.

Students pursuing Business, Economics and Law have also secured excellent destinations. Aiyla G (Economics A, Maths A, Further Maths A, EPQ A ) progresses to Queen Mary to study Economics, Statistics & Maths, reflecting simply today: “Loved it; teachers are amazing and supportive.” Evie H (Economics B, Media Studies A, Religious Studies B) will be studying Business & Management at Nottingham. We are delighted for Elsa L‑G (BTEC Business Distinction* Distinction, Sociology D) and Abigail D (BTEC Business Distinction* Distinction, Sociology D), who progress to respected Law programmes at City St George’s and Surrey.

Alongside Elsa and Abigail, we are very proud of our whole vocational course cohort, whose achievements this year have been exceptional. Their commitment has led to an impressive range of university destinations, demonstrating the strength and versatility of our vocational pathways and the outstanding outcomes possible through BTEC Business study. Among them, Fatma A (Distinction* Distinction*) will be taking up a place to study Accounting & Finance at Westminster, an outstanding result that reflects her consistent excellence throughout the course. Max D (Distinction* Distinction) will be heading to UCFB to study Football Business, a distinctive and competitive programme. Oskar H (Distinction* Distinction) progresses to Nottingham to study Geography with Business. Finally, Daniel M (Distinction* Distinction) will be studying Business & Management at Kent. These students represent the very best of vocational achievement, and we are immensely proud of the futures they are building through their BTEC success.

We also want to recognise those students who have faced significant personal challenges during their time with us. Many have balanced responsibilities at home, managed health issues, or navigated circumstances that demanded real perseverance. Their achievements, whether securing university places, completing qualifications, or simply continuing to engage positively with their studies, reflect a level of determination that deserves acknowledgement. We are proud of what they have accomplished, and confident that the resilience they have shown will support them well in the years ahead.

This cohort has achieved an extraordinary range of outcomes and their destinations reflect both academic excellence and personal passion. We are proud of every student: those heading to elite universities, those pursuing creative and vocational routes, and those forging distinctive paths that reflect their individuality. Their achievements are a testament to their hard work, resilience and ambition. We wish them every success as they begin the next chapter of their lives.

2025 Exam News

A-level exam results: -Congratulations to Year 13 - August 2025

We are pleased that close to 80% of our cohort were automatically placed in either their first or second choice university.

Our students have accepted a place for a wide range of destinations and courses:

37% students of successful applicants went to Russell group universities
18% of students have progressed onto STEM university courses, with a further 10.4% attending Psychology courses.
11 students progressed onto foundation courses at UAL, Ravensbourne and City & Guilds amongst others.
6.6% of students are attending Medicine/Dentistry/Veterinary‑related courses such as paramedic science, pharmacology and dental therapy.
2 students have accepted places at University of Oxford, to study History and PPE.
