LaSWAP Students Enjoy Unforgettable Ski Trip to Canada

Students from across LaSWAP Sixth Form have returned from an unforgettable ski trip, organised by Mr Hastings, to Mont Tremblant, Canada, where they spent five hours a day on the slopes, building confidence and skills across a range of conditions -from -15°C snow days to bright, sunny runs.

The trip offered far more than skiing. Students immersed themselves in the lively resort village, enjoying activities such as escape rooms, a hot tub and pool table, as well as time exploring shops and social spaces. They also visited Montreal, where highlights included outlet shopping and a trip to the Montreal Biodome.

A memorable cultural experience for many was trying poutine - a Canadian favourite of chips topped with cheese curds and gravy. Students also watched a thrilling pond-skimming event, where skiers attempt to glide across water, adding to the excitement of the trip.

Students described the experience as truly special. One said, “I’ve had the best time ever,” while another added, “I’ve had an exceptional time and so much fun.”

The visit provided an opportunity not only to develop skiing ability but also to build independence, form new friendships and create lasting memories.
