Parliament Hill School

High achieving and happy

School closure from Monday 23 March 2020 until further notice

From Monday 23 March, Parliament Hill School will only be open to a very small number of children if there is no other safe option. These are children who:

  • have a social worker who will help parents/guardians to decide the best option for their child
  • have an education, health and care (EHC) plan
  • are the daughters of key workers (see here for the list of those eligible).

However, if children can stay safely at home, they should as this is the best way to stop COVID-19 spreading.

Key Worker Provision Request

The Kite, Performing Arts and Morant Buildings are now closed so students will not be able to collect folders, equipment or books. The LaSWAP building will be open to key workers’ children who have no other childcare options.

School reception closure

The school reception will be closed from Wednesday 25 March. Please email our enquiries email address for support:

SEND provision

Please see below a letter from Vicky Ford MP, Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State for Children and Families on SEND provision during the Coronavirus closure of schools. Your daughter's Achievement Team Leader will be in touch with you if your daughter is eligible for provision at Parliament Hill School during the period of closure.

Free school meals continuing entitlement

Free School Meal Food Vouchers - Letter

Free School Meal Food Hampers - Letter

If your child is eligible for free school meals, this entitlement remains during this period of school closure. If you are entitled to a free school meal, please come to the gate at 1pm to collect it from Wednesday 18 March onwards until Camden and Caterlink are able to set up deliveries of food hampers.  We will provide further details as soon as they are available. If your child is self-isolating or showing symptoms of Coronavirus Covid-19 please do not send them into school.

Be aware of scam emails

Public health have been informed that some parents have received an email stating the following: ‘As schools will be closing, if you’re entitled to free school meals, please send your bank details and we’ll make sure you’re supported’. We can confirm that this is a scam email and is not official. We urge parents that if you receive any emails like this, please do not respond, and delete them immediately. See link for details.

Home Learning

We have made home learning resources available on our online platform: Office 365 Teams. Students have been given instructions telling them how to access these resources. Each Year group has been given access to subject-specific folders with suggested learning activities. Please see the PDFs below for the instructions and for more information on how Home Learning will work in practice.

At the moment you will see some incomplete folders. Bear with us - it is a work in progress. Many resources will be available from Friday 20 March and teachers will continue to upload additional resources as we move forward. We ask you not to contact the school requesting individual work.  On-line Support For Young People
